Aussie Kids Mermaid Waters is a beautiful 5 Room service, Catering to 74 Children Per day ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our qualified chef delivers a Tasty and nutritious culturally inclusive menu that is rotated weekly.
Aussie Kids Mermaid Waters, are passionate about providing children and families with a welcoming and secure environment, relationships with families and children are paramount.
With an array of facilities and extra-curricular programs offered including cooking classes, gardening program and sports program, our experienced educators provide a play-based program that is reflective of our wellness program, as well as children’s individual needs and abilities.
Aussie Kids Mermaid Waters recognizes the importance of community and being out and about in our community, educators thoughtfully plan excursions within our community.
Our Educators acknowledge the first nations people and aim to deliver a program that is embedded with practices and experiences that respectfully educate and pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
We are mindful about the world we live in and embedding sustainable practices into our program, including composting, care for country through our gardening program and being mindful of our water usage.

My name is Carmel and I am the Service Manager at Aussie Kids, I have been married for 18 years and have been in the Early Childhood Industry for 22 years. I have a Diploma of Children’s Services (2008) and an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management (2023). I have been a part of the Aussie Kids family for 10 years, throughout my employment I have been fortunate to be Assistant Service Manager and Educational Leader. I bring a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge which I have gained over my many years in the industry.
In my spare time I enjoy walks on the beach, camping and spending time with my husband, niece and nephew and my dog Benny.
I aim to provide a loving, caring, safe and home-like environment that is welcoming, warm and inclusive where children, families and Educators feel safe, secure and supported. I am passionate about connecting and building strong relationships with children and their families.
At Aussie Kids we feel children’s Health and Safety is most important. Our Wellness Program encourages the mental wellbeing of children, staff and families.
I am fortunate to lead a team of experienced, passionate and professional early childhood educators who strive to build positive, collaborative partnerships with families.
